Message From My Heart: Choose Happiness

“Do everything without complaining and arguing, so that you many become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe.” Philippians 2:14-15

We live in a world of constant dissatisfaction in our circumstances, and envy of what others have or have achieved.

If it’s hot weather, we complain it is unbearable. If it is cold, we complain it is too cold.

If our hair is curly, we wish for straight hair. If our hair is straight, we wish for curly.

We want a job or a position, then we get it, and we complain it is too hard or that someone else is better off.

We spend so much time focusing on what we don’t have or what others do have, that we loose sight of who we are and how blessed we actually are.

This is no way to live.

Life is short; rather than living a life of dissatisfaction and envy, let’s choose to live a life of happiness. Let’s choose to be content with our circumstances and what we have. And if not content, let’s strive to actively influence positive improvement and change.

Next time you find yourself complaining, stop for a second and think of those who have nothing at all, but the smile on their face.

Let’s choose to be happy.

Let’s choose to see the positive in every situation.

Let’s choose to live a life of passion and purpose.

Today a close friend of mine lost their loved one, and again I am reminded of how fragile our life on this earth is.

Remember, life is all about choices.

You choose to win or to lose. When things don’t go right, there is always a left. Choose to focus on the positives. No one owes you anything, but you owe it to yourself to follow your heart. Dream big and make it happen. Choose a purpose driven life and live passionately!
